FSP Timeline

Congratulations and thanks for teaching an FSP. Below you’ll find a recommended timeline that lists all the steps necessary to make sure your FSP runs smoothly and that includes opportunities available to enrich your FSP, including:

Recommended Timeline for FSP Instructors

In the preceding fall Think of a topic  
Talk to FSP coordinator about idea
In the preceding spring Submit a course proposal to FSCC Submit book request
Talk to department chair about course scheduling Attend Teaching and Pedagogy workshop
In the preceding summer Develop syllabus

Decide whether you will participate in Summer Reading Program with your class
Get room assignment, room key, assure room meets your needs Talk to Bonner Institute to develop Community Engaged Learning component of course
Submit a resource request for fields trips or other funding needs
During/after semester Submit syllabus to Liberal Learning Office Contact Writer’s Place to get writing tutors for your class
Submit writing assignments to Liberal Learning Office Attend FSP lunch discussions for ideas and support
Discuss Academic Integrity with your students and remind them to respond to the Liberal Learning Office request to sign the pledge  Collect and share artifact to highlight your course
